The Listeners has been adapted into a series for BBC One by Element Pictures (Poor Things, Normal People), starring Rebecca Hall, and directed by Janicza Bravo. It premieres at the Toronto International Film Festival on September 7, 2024.
On September 8, 2024, as part of the Toronto International Film Festival's Dialogues programme, Jordan will be in conversation with The Listeners director Janicza Bravo, as well as director Malcolm Washington, and writer Virgil Williams, talking about adapting stories to screen.
Jordan contributed text to RESPAWN, a 9hr durational performance by artist Miles Greenberg, presented on June 5, 2024 at the Art Gallery of Ontario, as part of the Luminato Festival
The Listeners, an opera by Missy Mazzoli and Royce Vavrek, premiered at the Oslo Opera House on September 24, 2022. The opera will be presented by Opera Philadelphia in 2024, and the Lyric Opera of Chicago in 2025. Excerpts of the opera will be presented at the Guggenheim Museum as part of the Works & Process series on September 15, 2024.
Is My Microphone On? was a finalist for Canada's 2023 Governor General's Literary Award for Drama.
